Your gifts to charity can do more than make you feel good. Depending on your situation, charitable
contributions can be great a way to reduce your tax liability. There are some important things to keep in mind when considering donating to charity and being eligible to claim the donation as a tax deduction.
Below is a list of items to be aware of when claiming donations:
1. In order to receive a tax benefit from donating to charitable organizations, you must itemize
deductions on Schedule A.
